Wilson to add strength to the Power

20th November, 2015

We are pleased to announce the first addition to Bill Oakley’s support staff for the 2016 season.

Former premiership player Jared Wilson has come back to the club and will take on the strength and conditioning position. This will be the first time in recent memory that the club has engaged someone in this role officially.
Jared has worked in the fitness industry for almost 20 years and has extensive knowledge of the latest training trends and nutrition.

As well as his obvious qualifications Jared has been a part of elite sporting environments having spent 3 years at the A.I.S. as well as 3 years playing for the Adelaide 36ers in the NBL which adds to his impressive resume. Jared stated “I’m pumped for this and really looking forward to a big off-season and getting our guys fit and firing ready for round one”.

Jared’s role will be to monitor fitness levels of the players and implement team and individual fitness programs throughout the season as well as player workload management. Oakley said ” I am super excited to have someone of Jared’s experience and character in this role. We have similar views on player workloads and what is required at this level of football to have our players as fit as we need whilst keeping it fun”.

Jared will have a big role to play in our preseason which begins next Monday 23rd at 6:30pm at Waratah oval, Sutherland
