Last Monday, three Senior Swans players attended a special training session with Southern Power as part of the Swans Community Week Program. Premiership winning captain Jarrad McVeigh, Norm Smith Medalist Ryan O’Keefe and young gun Harry Cunningham shared their experience and tips on everything from pre-season training, daily exercise routines and game-day preparation during a lengthy and informative Q&A session. Players from every Power team, from our grand final winning 18s, Women’s and senior men’s teams attended as well as players from a number of Junior clubs including Miranda and Bangor. Power was selected by the AFL along with other schools and clubs across NSW to host Swans players as they build on their fantastic 2012 Premiership winning season. Power players went on to train the house down after the Swans had left. We have fantastic momentum going into 2013!

Southern Power are extremely grateful for the time the Swans gave us and will draw deeply from the knowledge they passed on.
