Power Under 18’s team into Grand Final

17th September, 2012

The Southern Power Under 18’s team won their way through to the Grand Final yesterday with a hard fought 21 point win over Balmain. It was a tight clash all day with only 1 point separating the sides at half time, and 2 points at three quarter time however a 3 goal burst by power forward James Blewett midway through the final term was the difference. Best for the Power were Reagan Sharpe and Matt Young while the two Liam’s were also dominant.

The Power now take on Manly who beat them a week ago to take the first spot in the Grand Final and earn the week off. This loss could have been a blessing in disguise for the Power side who had not played for 3 weeks prior to the match so an extra game under the belt should see them firing come Saturday.

The Grand Final takes place this Saturday 22nd September at Blacktown International Sports Park with the opening bounce at 8:45am.

There will be a supporters bus going out to the game so get in touch with the club for details and get out and support the boys in their quest for a premiership and a shot at Division One next year.
