Power to be represented in Sydney AFL rep teams

6th June, 2012

A big congratulations to Power stars Adam Cook and Dan Turner who have been selected in the AFL Sydney Development Team to take on Farrer League this coming Saturday at  Blacktown International Sports Park. Unfortunately injury saw cult hero Graham ‘Eeennnneeeerrrsss’ Enright become unavailable for the team which was selected earlier this week. All three players were selected due to their great form in season 2012 and will be a select few Division One players selected in the team mainly consisting of Premier Division players. DT is no stranger to rep football with selection in the AFL Sydney Rep team last year only for injury to rule him out while Cookie selection is his first rep outing.

Two of the Southern Power Women’s side will also feature in representative football over the long weekend with Jenna Miller and Kathryn Hull to line up for the NSW team in  game 2 of their 3 match series against the ACT. The girls will be out for revenge after narrowly going down in their first encounter.

Both games will be played at Blacktown International Sports Park with the development squad starting at 10am on No 1 Oval and the women at 1:30pm on the No 2 Oval. If you are around it would be great to go out and support the guys.

Good luck on Saturday and do the Power proud!
