New Women’s Team

12th November, 2009

Southern Power AFC is very excited to announce that we will now have a women’s side competing in the Sydney Womens AFL League in 2010.

The Southern Power AFL club is based at Gwawley Park – Cnr Taren Point & Box Rds, Caringbah; however most of the women’s matches are played at Mahoney Oval in Marrickville on Saturdays.

At this stage we have not decided on a training day but this will likely be on a Monday evening and possibly a Thursday evening once or twice a month in the Sutherland area.

The women’s AFL season won’t start until around March 2010 and preseason will likely be sometime in February.

Please feel free to pass our details on to any other women (aged 15 years and over) you think may be interested in playing AFL with us in 2010 and beyond.

If you have any questions please contact Gary (Coach) on 0410 017 858 or Janine (Team Manager) on 0421 370 798, otherwise email womens@southernpower.com.au and one of us will get back to you.
