Our ressies had a great win on the weekend, and are also looking to end the year on a high when they take on arch rivals Manly.

Our #favourites are desperate to stay in finals contention, and are looking to claim a major scalp with UNSW.

Finally, our U 19’s are warming up nicely for their finals campaign, and are aiming for a top 2 finish with victory over the Blues.

**’Watto’ makes it 4**

9th August, 2017
Watto

With our U19’s enjoying a great season so far, Southern Power AFC and partner Blum are pleased to announce the fourth recipient of the Brian Cairnduff Iniative for season 2017.

Congratulations Ryan Watson from Cronulla Junior club on making his 1st grade debut last weekend against Blacktown. For his efforts both Ryan & junior club Cronulla will receive $500.

Blum are proud to be involved in the initiative to support young footballers continuing their football into the senior grades and growing the great game of AFL the shire. In 2007 Brian Cairnduff began our then u18 side that continues still as our u19 side.

Make sure to get around the U19’s as they launch into their finals campaign over the next few weeks. The boys are primed for the challenge, hoping to claim the premiership.

We look forward to more young players rising to the challenge of senior football and supporting all AFL clubs in the shire over the next few years.

Round 16 – 12th August

7th August, 2017

Round 16

With the home-and-away season coming to an end, all teams grace the field at Fortress Gwawley for the final time this year – and possibly the final time for good.

Our U/19’s will be looking to build some good form going into finals when they start the day against North Shore.

Our #favourites are up next, taking on Newtown and keen for a win to keep their finals hopes alive.

Our ressies will be looking for redemption from a close loss last time when they take on Pennant Hills. Finishing off the year with a few victories, whilst denting the Demons’ finals chances, will do quite nicely.

Our seniors round out the day with their clash against Parramatta. They boys enter a vital fortnight in the context of both this year and next year, so make sure you get down and support them.

Whilst you’re down, make sure you get around the club for our Old Boys Day. Details of the game will be posted closer to the date.

Big thank you to the legends at Splash Tapas Bar for this week’s fixture.
