Al Fritsch Kicks Ton

16th August, 2010

Southern Power full forward Al Fritsch has again kicked 100 goals in a season after notching up his 100th goal in the 3rd quarter against Camden on the weekend. With just 2 goals needed in the match to pass the mark Al kept the ‘huge’ crowd on their toes by not kicking the 100th goal until much later than expected. Once he finally did though the large crowd on hand rushed on to celebrate the achievement with him. Al went on to kick another 2 goals for the game to take his season tally to 102 and with one more game of the home and away season to go will be looking for one more goal to set a new club record. 100 goals in a season is rare feat so to do this 2 years in a row makes Al’s achievement even more impressive. The Power went on to comprehensively beat Camden to remain on top of the ladder.
